Handmade Carpet is woven on the loom. The pile yarns are hand knotted on the warp yarns. It is produced by forming rows of loops by knotting each pair of warp threads,arranged side by side in a frame, with wool, silk or cotton threads and compressing at least one row of wefts. The type of pile yarns, knot shape and knot density determine the quality of carpets. Whats makes the Turkish Carpets more special and more durable is because they are made with double knot technique... Double knoted. Perfect condition. Age Aprox: 60-70 years Never used.
